On Saturday, Oct. 19, musical entertainment will be provided by the up-and-coming trio, the T Sisters. Flowing seamlessly through a stream of styles and moods that runs from roots to pop and sassy to sincere, the T Sisters captivate audiences with soaring harmonies, catchy melodies and potent lyricism. With two albums, two EPs and a tour of the Middle East and Africa as part of the State Department-sponsored American Musicians Abroad program already on their resume, these supremely talented young stars are ready to make their ascent in American music.
On Sunday, Oct. 20, Mandolin Orange will take Center Stage to entertain with their warm and intimate yet staggeringly powerful tunes. Formed in 2009 by singers and multi-instrumentalists Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz, the group has produced five albums of Marlin’s original works of American roots music. Their last three albums have climbed up the US Rock, Heat, Folk and Country charts, with their latest peaking at number 1 on US Heat and number 2 on US Folk.
